glbt: The Spring Market is Really Moving!!! - 04/01/13 08:27 PM
Wow!  It's been a productive couple of weeks.  On March 18, got my two-family listing on Tholozan under contract.  We are almost through the building inspection resolution on that one.  On March 26, I got a buyer contract accepted on a home in South City; we are finished with inspections on that one.  On March 27, my listing in House Springs went under contract.  Inspection is scheduled for that one tomorrow.  On March 30 I got another buyer contract accepted on a home in Southampton Neighborhood.  We'll do inspections on that one later this week.  Then today,I got another buyer deal … (2 comments)

We braved the slippery streets to see "The Book of Mormon" at the Fabulous Fox Theater last night.  The tickets were a Valentines Day Gift - what a wonderful gift that was!  With the snow and sleet all afternoon, I was worried the roads would be too treacherous, but with the 4-wheel drive, they weren't too bad.  We were told they have never cancelled a show due to weather, so we were going one way or the other, even if we had to walk there...

glbt: Short Sales Still a Frustrating and Too Often An Unsuccessful Process - 01/14/13 02:40 PM
Just received word from a colleague who has been working on a short sale for me that the lein-holder foreclosed on the home while they were working the short sale. (My colleague only works short sales, and knows what she is doing).  The lein-holder has been dragging this out for months, and every time they wanted something, the homeowner and my colleague got it to them immediately. My colleague diligently stayed on top of the deal, calling the Short Sale Department almost daily. The buyer has been waiting to close for months on this property. I was able to go home and visit Mom & Dad for my birthday.  Mom made my usual birthday cake, chocolate with white icing, and decorated it with sugar sprinkles.  Dad wasn't satisifed with that, though, and went out and got the candles and the hard sugar decorations.  He's such a softie!  I am really blessed to have the parents I do!  And the cake was good, too!

glbt: Glass Block Window Installation - October 18, 2012 - 10/19/12 08:41 AM
I had glass block windows installed in my basement yesterday.  I debated installing them myself, but for the difference in the installation costs, it just made sense to have them install the windows.  I still have quite a job finishing out the inside of the windows, which will take days to get finished (work on it a little a day).  This morning I'm planning to apply mortar around the inside of the windows to even out the brick walls.  Then on to finishing out the framing.  I may be finished by next weekend...
