Attention Home Buyer that are “On The Fence” Interest rates have gone up!

If you are one of the many people that would like to purchase a new home but is waiting for one reason or another you may want to change your mind. Yesterday, Monday May 20th Interest rates were higher than the previous Friday. For the first time is a while we are looking at rates at 4%.

I have a buyer that was lucky to have locked his rate in on Friday before the increase. Your “purchasing power” really decreases when you are paying more per thousand. This trend of higher rates will most likely continue. The good news is more homes are coming on the market than have been. Now is a great time to go ahead and make that purchase.

It is a not an easy task in the market we are currently in with multiple offers, homes selling in a few days and the ongoing short sales (Long Sale) Factors. Although with the right team working for you, An experienced  local REALTOR  and Mortgage Specialist you could be in your new home by Summer.
