Auction Home Listings: Should they be listed on the MLS? There is a real estate agent in my area that have made it their claim to fame by selling homes in 1 day. Their marketing strategy is this: The property is listed about 40% under the current market value. They only allow the property to be show on the day of the sale. Buyer have to be approved by their lender. Buyer's agent basically get a referral fee. I do not think that our MLS system was designed to have properties listed under these circumstances. My husband and I recently attended a wedding at The Summit House in Fullerton. It was a beautiful August evening. The Bride was even more radiant than the orchids that surrounded her. The ceremony was touching. These two families were both thrilled for the young couple. As we found our assigned seat we were flattered by our table location and that we were chosen to sit by some very important guests of the Bride, Groom and their Parents. I received an email last night from one of my trusted mortgage lenders notifying me of the details of the program. We are trying to get some of our first time home buyers into homes with little money down while interest rates are low. This is a program that can make that happen for a few of my buyers that are already qualified for a loan but that are still lacking cash for closing costs. The Rafters need to sell their home in The Hidden Lakes Town home Community. They became familiar with me through my advertising in the community. I became one of several agents they interviewed. I was only 22 years old at the time, entering into my 2nd year of being a REALTOR and still attending college. North Orange County Residents are you prepared for an Earthquake? The recent terrible earthquake and Tsunami in Japan has motivated me to get a new "Earthquake Preparedness Kit" together. Over the years I have had them shoved in the corner of my garage with supplies that were long expired. I have written a few other blogs with lists of items to include but this time I have actual picture of my own.
This is just the basics...I will be expanding on it over the next few weeks.
