I really wanted to hit the week running...getting up early, working on my next year's business plan---the plan to make more money than this year, make my desk a little more organized, blah, blah, blah.  I couldn't bring myself to unlayer my nice, warm comfy blankets.  It felt so good underneath and the chill in the air I was breathing in kept me from moving.  If it wasn't for the silly cat running back and forth from room to room- I probably would have stayed in bed all day..okay, maybe not all day- but a good portion of the morning.

We were supposed to close last Tuesday.  Now we still might not close by Friday.  I want to pull my hair out and run down the street screaming.  What is going on out there????
In the contract I had an extended date for closing because my buyers were not going to be in the Country.  So, it was not 20-30 days.  It was more like 45.  The buyers were more than qualified.  The escrow was deposited and the inspections went well.

Yes, you read that right, I spent 12 hours in a cop car, blue lights, sirens and all.  Thank goodness it wasn't in the back or with handcuffs on...I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.

Respect???? Give a little and Get a little - 11/05/08 10:37 AM

Yesterday, I posted about my short wait in line and the excitement I felt casting my vote.  I was relieved and ran to the nearest Starbucks for my free cup of joe.  I would have preferred Dunkin Donuts coffee (that is my favorite), but free is free.
We should all be proud that so many were involved in the voting process.  I am amazed at the number of young adults that played a part in such an important election.  I spent a few hours at a local victory party for our Sheriff and came home anxious about the Presidential outcome.

I am going to Disney World!!!  No, wait...I didn't win the lottery this week.  I just voted.  It had to be an important day for my husband to wake me up so early.  "We have to get there early- I don't want to wait in a big line." That's what I kept hearing. I really wanted to just pull the covers over my head and tell him "forget it, I'll go later."  But, I had this little feeling in my stomache- it was kind of weird- like waking up early to see the look on the faces of the kids when they find … (8 comments)

My husband and I have this one store that we buy all of our furniture at.  I think every piece we own was bought at this store.  It is a local family owned store and we always get a great deal, so we keep going back.  Yesterday we stopped by just to see if they had a tiny table that would fit beside a dresser to place my son's Playstation 3 on.  Found one- great!
