Thanksgiving comes once a year. It's the holiday where families share a meal, catch up on family news and reminisce over years past. Our Thanksgiving traditions start with our childhood memories but we shouldn't forget the history of Thanksgiving.
The pilgrims were thankful for a good harvest which provided enough food to last through the winter (A History of the Thanksgiving Holiday). Their homes didn't have central heat, insulation, running water or electricity ... all things we take for granted today. I just wrote an article about carbon monoxide poisoning, The Silent Killer at Home and wow, this is a perfect example of a poor installation although I'm guessing it was installed right and another contractor cut the PVC without a clue what he was doing.
