Staging is lending more credibility to real estate professionals - 04/26/07 08:16 PM
I've been in conversations lately with homeowners who tell me they are respecting and hiring real estate professionals based on their inclusion or recommendations on staging their homes.  I've had one phone call from a potential client who told me they are interviewing agents but will choose one only if they include staging in their services.
This industry is changing incredibly fast.  Are agents aware just how fast?  They no doubt know about staging and its positive effect on sales but do they know its influence on homeowner's decision who to hire?

Home business owners - connected or disconnected? - 04/26/07 08:06 PM
OMG!  I miss playing in the rain.  Like I said before, I find my participation in this community to be addictive.  I had no idea just how much.  I've been overwhelmed with so many things lately, I've been unable to "connect" and it amazes me just how "disconnected" I feel not splashing in the rain. 
Having a home business has led me to feel somewhat isolated, although I have joined networking groups to ensure I maintain my professional connections, it is my online community that allows me to feel connected the most.

How does a stager buy a house? - 04/03/07 08:03 PM
I've been in the market for a house for some time.  Since becoming a Professional Home Stager, I've been having a difficult time viewing houses from MY point of view.  I walk up to a house and critique the experience not as a potential home buyer but as a stager viewing on behalf of a potential home buyer.  I am serious when I say I would have to force myself to think of my family living in the space, funny thing is, I would have to go through the house several times because I "forgot".
