Progress of Developments off Hammonds Plains Road in Bedford Nova Scotia - 04/16/10 09:17 AM

The new HRM 4 Pad Arena Complex has been in the making for many years and for many people, couldn't come sooner.
This state of the art facility will address a long-standing need for additional ice surfaces in the Halifax Regional Municipality and will include; 4 NHL size ice pads, a sports retail store, food and beverage areas and outdoor sand volleyball courts. Participants from hockey, ringette, sledge hockey, figure skating, indoor/outdoor volleyball and many other sports will utilize this facility.

This is Truly SadI recently have been reading more and more about this leviathan between the Hawaian and U.S. This mass of plastic that is estimated to be twice the size of the State of Texas is comprised of water bottles, shopping bags, and most anything plastic. There is a Kingswood Ratepayers Association Meeting tonight at 7pm for those who would like to attend.  I, myself, am a director but any resident of Kingswood is always encouraged to visit and lend us their voice.  We are amidst the planning process of developing a 5-10 year plan for area residents and fresh perspectives are always welcome.

As you are likely aware, Finance Minister Graham Steele introduced the government's 2010-11 budget in the House of Assembly on Tuesday, April 6, 2010
The HST rate increase will affect those purchasing new homes. The HST rate increase will generally apply to a new home sale in Nova Scotia if both ownership and possession of the property are transferred to the purchaser on or after July 1, 2010.
