On Friday, September 23 the Jonesboro Board of Realtors had a food fight. Sounds bad, does'nt it!! It was a fundraiser for our local Food Bank. Did you guys know that 25% of the people served are children under 18, 89% of the people served are below the official poverty level.  In 2010, the Food Bank distributed 2.6 MILLON pounds of food, yep,  you heard right...2.6 MILLON pounds!!!  So, the Realtors Food Fight was putting agency up against agency, and you guys know how COMPETITIVE us Realtors are!! I am working on a website and looking for ideas as to what  has worked for my Active Rain folks. I have your basic info, but as you guys have figured out, I kinda beat a different drum. I don't like just average website  that everyone else has. Being I have a different name and like to express my personality, I really need some ideas. Let's face it, 2009 was a test of all test for the housing industry. Lots of things went wrong for the housing market, banks failing, unemployment on the rise, car industry going downhill, so it was all gloom and doom. Well our office was no different. I attended the realtor.com workshop with Joe Sesso in Little Rock. This is a free workshop. It is a class teaching about realtor.com and its uses and also some useful info about other sites. As we all know the internet is the way to attract your buyers and sellers. 87% of buyers use the Internet to search for houses. As a real estate agent, if you are going to stay ahead you better be working on the internet. If not you may get left behind as a realtor.  This is our 2009 Homebuyers and Sellers Extravaganza that was held Sat. Oct. 10th. in our Century 21 parking lot. We all worked very hard on this project. We hope it did educate our buyers and sellers. We really enjoyed visiting with everone. Would like to thank all our lenders, title companies and home inspectors for their participation.
