Countrywide Short Sale Denied!!! - 11/24/08 01:25 PM
I just had my first denial of a short sale after several successful negotiations.
What went wrong?   THE APPRAISALS!!!  First, let me preface this by saying I AM a certified appraiser as well as a real estate agent.  I insisted the bank get interior appraisals done to show them the terrible condition of the house. The sent 2 appraisers who's basic reaction to the property was "tear it down and start over!"  Yes, the condition was reflected in the appraisals.  The negotiator admitted the condition looked awful. The house sold for $150,000.  The counter offer from Countrywide you ask?
