It's Canton weekend!! - 02/26/09 08:08 PM

My sister called to let me know that this is Canton trade days weekend!!!!!  We brave the weather come rain or shine when we make the decision to go!  We usually go around 3 times a year and always find something different.  We've had sun burns, froze to death and played in the rain but continue to go every year!  Its a time for us to be together since we live 2 hours away from eachother and just enjoy all there is to offer.

Working out gives inspiration! - 02/23/09 09:16 PM
A part of my normal routine in the morning is to get up and go work out at Curves.  I usually try to park my vehicle at an angle so people driving by cannot see my name etc... on the back of my vehicle only because I go in there with no makeup and totally not prepared to see anyone I know.  Ive been going for about 2 years now and see the same people all the time and see other women come and go.

Last week I blogged about how I was frustrated with some Realtors in my area so I wanted to take this time to give props to one that I appreciate.  Its the small things that really make you respect someone and are delighted when they call and mention they want to show your seller's home.

The City of Killeen...where freedom grows - 02/22/09 12:55 AM
 While I was at my daughters soccer game this morning at the Lions Club Park in Killeen, I was thinking to myself that this town has really changed in the 9 years that we have been here.  The City of Killeen has improved their parks and recreation department tremendously within that time and I have seen them offer more activities for families. 
There is always something to do whether it be enroll your child in sports or visit the new Tommie Harris (Chicago Bears player that graduated from Ellison High School) fitness center at Lions Club Park.  The fitness center offers plenty of classes … (2 comments)

While we were at the convention, our friends Kristin Moran & Sheila Moran mentioned Build A Sign, a company they blogged about previously & had a wonderful experience with.  We made our way to the booth they had and took one of their cards so we could go to their website when we got home. While we were there Paula had a conversation with the representatives and found out they are giving away 20,000.00 banners & jumbo cards to support the troops.  This is a wonderful gesture that means so much to us at Fort Hood.  Our streets and neighborhoods are currently lined with banners like these … (5 comments)

Getting sick really hurts your AR! - 02/11/09 11:16 PM
Well...Im back!  I was sick for the past week and having AR withdrawals!  I logged on for the first time today to send a little blog and see how my AR was doing only to find out a week can make a world of difference on AR!  I feel out of it and see I have missed out on everything!  Im really glad to be back and feeling better!
Im at a RE/MAX Convention in San Antonio and cant wait to write about my experience here!

Turn that Low ball offer into a positive - 02/04/09 08:08 AM
I recently went to a Howard Brinton conference that was offered to us by RE/MAX where I got a ton of information within two hours.  I joined the Star Power Club and have begun to change my way of thinking. 
One of the things Howard said during his training was to turn negative things into positive.  He gave an example of the different ways Realtors react when they receive a low offer. It is so true!  In the past when I received a low offerI would feel offended myself!  That would ultimately show on my face when presenting the offer to my seller.  This … (2 comments)

Have you ever had issues with a BPO?  Paula got a BPO from a company that was questioning the previous Realtors value.  She accepted it and soon found out why it was so confusing. 
Our RE/MAX Family crew, Paula, myself and our agents Anita Paez and LaDonna Wall set out to find the property.  Paula had driven out to try and find the address in question earlier that day but had no such luck.  In order for her to feel sane at this point she wanted us to come along so we could tell her that we didnt see … (2 comments)
