The owner said NO Pets Allowed......
That was 10 properties ago.....8 of the 10 properties he accepted pets!  All of these properties are on 1+ acres sites in the country. What we found is most folks have pets, especially in the country!  The owner compromised and said okay no indoor pets. He even added some fencing to his property so the new tenants could have their pets outside.  

Do people really keep their pets outside?? I don't think so! Especailly in Texas where we had triple digit days for over a month.  I am not a pet type person, but I wouldn't want … (3 comments)

I have been out with clients ,showing them homes , which we scheduled from viewing pictures on the computer. I just finished week 2 of the race to recruit!  This week was about "Map Your Course". I did exercises to identify my destination and make it to Victory Lane! Are you laughing with me?? I know it sounds funny but this race is really motivating me to recruit!!

I watched this video this morning with our office about offering DREAM ITEMS on listings instead of  reducing the price on a listing that is not getting any showings. 
The video said buyers are stimulated by what excites their senses ( aren't we all?!)
Sight Smell  Sound Do you have listings that you are reducing by $10,000, $20,000 or more? There are hundreds of properties on the market.  The buyers make their final decisions based on the above emotions once they have seen all the homes in their price range and other criteria,  then they pick the one that plays on their emotions.  If your listing … (2 comments)

After years of staying put, Americans are on the move again. But they aren't going very far. Roughly 12.5 percent of the US population, or 37.1 million people moved to a new home in 2009. This is up form 11.9 percent or 35.2 million in 2008, according to census figures.
While it was the first percentage gain in the U.S. since 2005 mobility levels remain historically low. Interestingly, nearly all the new moves in 2009 also occurred within the same county!

Set your Calendars for the Plano Balloon Festival !
It is an annual event in Plano that is coming up in September 17, 18 & 19th.  I went last year for the first time and it was awesome!! It was very hot still, so plan to go early in the morning when they set up the balloons and it is not so hot.  Bring lawn chairs, a blanket to lay on and plenty of water.

Mountains in Oklahoma ? - 08/01/10 03:22 PM

My husband and I took a beautiful drive thru Oklahoma recently known as the Talimena Pass. We were coming back from OKC to Dallas and took a few days more the longway going I40 east ! We really needed some R&R. We spent the night in a Motel 6 in Fort Smith Arkansas (that was a bad idea, another story!) and headed south early in the morning.  We entered "the pass" in the midway point allowing us to experience about 25 miles of it.  The pass is actually about 50 miles long.
