OK, so I haven't actually, completely arrived yet BUT.... Saturday I received a wonderful surprise in the mail! It was a copy of Claudia Wick's (RE Base Camp) new book Make the Move: How to Move Your Real Estate Business Online. Having made plans to buy the book as soon as it was available, it made my day to receive an autographed copy. It really made my day to be named in the acknowledgements! PLEASE don't tell me nothing; or that it's blank! Business cards are one of the least expensive and cost effective marketing and advertising tools available. Exchanging business cards is an excellent way to pass along your contact information and to gather contacts for your database. Agents on both ends of the spectrum have shared their thoughts on business cards. I've had agents say they use a box of 500 every month. They hand them out like candy; they leave them on tables at the restaurant; they leave a stack at the coffee shop or dry cleaners. Then other agents have said … (41 comments)

Recently I was chatting with one of my agents and she mentioned she was dropping off items (business cards, candy, etc) at local businesses to promote herself and her business. She mentioned dropping some promotional items at her dry cleaners specifically. Knowing her, I know she puts every name and email address she can get her hands on into her database. So I asked her if her dry cleaner was in her database as well. I was pretty surprised when she told me no because he knows me and knows what I do. My response was, are you sure?
