Fed Chairman Bernanke Finds His Voice! - 09/18/07 05:15 PM
Our new Federal Reserve Board Chairman was struggling with his fist big decision...  Should he cut fed funds rates, and stabilize the economy, or should he play it tough because the finance market caused it's own problems?  Either way, he would be accused of pandering to special interests.  Everybody wanted him to do what Greenspan would have done (cut rates to bail out the mess).  But Bernanke wanted to be his own man.  He wants to be seen as a strong voice at that... He wanted to have his own voice and not be a puppet or shadow of Greenspan.  
Apparently wisdom won out and the economy will get some relief … (6 comments)

Roll Over Beethoven: Inventing a Wheel vs Buying a Wheel - 09/15/07 04:00 PM
Beethoven was a masterful composer who rocked his world by breaking all the rules.  He changed the world of music forever.  I refer here to his personality because a good real estate agent might want to have such a bright, innovative talent even while bucking a few conventions of our own day in order to make a deal work the way Beethoven made a symphony work. 
Then there was the WHEEL, which was an invention that changed travel, making it easier to move.  Don't you wish somebody would come along and invent a tool that could change the world of real estate forever, making it easier and more profitable?

If a new survey of professional opinion of economists is correct, then the USA is headed for a recession.  This does not bode well for Toledo Housing Prices, which are already at their lowest point in several years in many areas of the USA, including Toledo, Ohio.

Toledo Homes, Real Estate Market News is not good.  But there are some bright spots.
Toledo Realtor, Lonn Dugan, of RE/MAX Masters says Toledo home prices continue to fall, while toledo home sales volume is down. 
Many frustrated home sellers have found thay cannot succeed when trying to sell a house in Toledo, Ohio - especially if using a Realtor that has not mastered Internet marketing.  This is because 80% of all buyers now find their home on the Internet instead of by driving around looking for signs.

Search Engine Optimization - Market Share for Google vs Yahoo ? - 09/02/07 09:39 AM
If you are doing SEO or Search Engine Optimization for a Real Estate Web Site, then it is important to know whicfh search engine to optimize for.... 
It is widely reported that about 70% of all search engine results are produced by Google, either directly or as the "search engine behind the search engine" as when the words RESULTS BY GOOGLE (or some such) are found at page bottom of another search engine.
HOWEVER - Yahoo may have more relevant or meaningful traffic when it comes to real estate.  They have offered real estate listings and Real Estate specialized searches for a lot longer than google... … (8 comments)

Yahoo Beats Google For SEO Traffic in August 2007 at my main Real Estate Toledo Listing Site at www.DuganSells.com ! 
Yahoo sent 374 visitors to my site.  Google sent 265.  These numbers might sound low to you, but remember, this is TOLEDO OHIO and not Chicago, Columbus, or Cleveland...
Results not normal, Google usually trumps Yahoo.
Anybody else find results like this for August?
