Contrary to the negative news being spewed out by the Media regarding the terrible housing market, our business has definitely picked up during the last couple of weeks.  Buyers are writing offers and Sellers are listing their properties.  At least in my area, I don't think we are going to have to wait until 2012 to see the housing market turn around.

Mean while, Hayward is gearing up for the 36th annual American Birkebeiner Races.  Over 9,500 skiers, from all over the world, have already registered.  And we expect at least another 15,000 family members, friends, and support people.  

This year I am again serving on the stearing committee for the Celebration Tent.  This circus size tent is located at the end of the race, behind Peoples Bank of Wisconsin.  The Celebration Tent is marking it's third year, while I have served on its streering committee for four years.  (One year the temperatures were so warm that the Birkie race was shortened because the officials felt it was unsafe for the skiers to cross Hayward Lake.)

In the Celebration Tent we will be serving brats, hamburgers, chili, beer, water, sodas and coffee.  All proceeds will be equally divided amongst the three non-profit organizations that staff the tent:  Fishing Has No Boundaries, Habitat for Humanity of Sawyer County, and Hayward Lions.

I invite you all to come up to Hayward to see this exciting race.  And then be sure to stop in at the Celebration Tent for some food and beverage.  I will be in charge of ticket sales, in the middle of the tent.  Please stop in and say Hi!
