Spring is Here in Hoover, Alabama - 03/27/08 06:37 PM
This morning I walked out to my car and it was GREEN - not the gray color it was the day I purchased it.  This greening happens this time of year as spring hits the Hoover, AL area.  The pollen is EVERYWHERE -on your car, on your front porch, the deck and in your sinuses!  Pine trees are a big part of it, but the most picturesque plants are the Japanese Cherry Trees.  They have beautiful pink blooms that come out before the leaves appear.  Many sudivisions have them lining their entryways.  Here are some shots of The Woods Townhomes with the … (0 comments)

Curb Appeal and Emotional Attachment - 03/04/08 03:52 PM
Last September I wrote a blog about curb appeal.  In that writing, I mentioned that overgrown azalea bushes HAD TO GO.  In October, we found that my mother needed to go to an Assisted Living Facility and therefore leave her beloved home of the last 40 years. After getting her settled in her new place, we began the daunting task of getting her house ready to go on the market.
