tony and suzanne marriott: August Challenge - Landscaping In The Desert Heat! - 08/13/17 12:34 PM
This is our entry into "Show Us Your Summer Blooms and Crops - An Active Rain Challenge" hosted by Belinda Spillman.
 
As Belinda pointed out "For those of us who live in states with 4 defined seasons, the sight of beautiful blooms and crops is a huge treat."
 
For us in the Phoenix Metro Area - we also have well defined seasons - cool-ish, hotter, very hot and extremely hot.
 
Thus most naturally growing landscape is "desert landscape" although there are the grass devotees that we see moving their grass at first light of day to escape the heat!

A quick review of the Arizona Department of Real Estate licensing records shows the following:
 
8-22-2002 I (Tony) obtained my Salesperson License and "parked" it at HomeSmart - the early days of Matt Widdows current behemoth. Still in corporate - and despite switching to a new senior executive position for a company based in Houston, air travel was still part of my "regime" - primarily Houston and trade shows in Las Vegas - which wasn't much of an improvement over my travels … (22 comments)

This is our entry into the "August Challenge: Being Human" hosted by Jim Cheney.
 
I became interested in aviation at an early age. I'm sure it was connected to flying back and forth across the Atlantic at a young age, several times a year.  Initially on B.O.A.C. (now British Airways), then Pan Am (now defunct) and TWA (now defunct).
 
I was a "regular" at the London Heathrow Airport Observation Deck (reachable from our house in West London via the Tube to Hounslow West, then by bus).  These days the "Tube" runs all the way to Heathrow, and the observation deck has moved terminals … (20 comments)
