Real Estate Market Bad? Buy in Stansbury Park - 09/28/07 07:51 AM
After reading all of the negative headlines about the Real Estate market in newspapers and on the inter-net from around the country, I have come to the conclusion it's time to invite you to put the family in the car, this weekend, and get out to Stansbury Park. Look at some of the beautiful new neighborhoods, clock the drive time, examine the new schools, go to the race track & sports-park and examine first hand what it would be like to move your family out of the city and back to the serenity of small town America. Tooele County. Why would I do that you (0 comments)
Stargazing at Stansbury Park - 09/25/07 08:49 AM
I came across a blog yesterday on Active Rain called Know thy Neighborhood It's about Agents from out of the area listing houses or helping someone buy a home, and why it's not a good Idea. It reminded me of my past rantings about Stansbury Park, and the number of out of area listing agents and why I dont think thats a good Idea. I can understand why the agent wants to do it, I just cant understand why any one would think it made sense to let them do something they are not qualified to do. No matter what I say though, it still happens. Sooo, in the spirit (0 comments)
How many Homes in Tooele County can I show today ? - 09/22/07 02:46 PM
My friend Jay Thompson wrote a blog about his Phoenix Real Estate market last week that I thought would be good information for you about Stansbury Park, Grantsville and Tooele home buyers and sellers. Jays info had some cool graphics that I can't put on but I think this will be helpful without being pretty. Anyway, thanks to Jay for coining the "snapshot" Idea. What is it? The number of current listings in Tooele County divided by the number of sales last month. What does it do? Shows you on average how much inventory is stacking up in the market place. Why should I know? Both you (1 comments)
New Construction is More than selling a House or Two - 09/22/07 02:27 PM
I catch a lot of flack from my friends about my passion for Real Estate. Lately it's been aimed at why I continue to spout off about major builders entering the market with New Construction projects in Stansbury Park and Grantsville. Some of those friends (the sports minded kind) have even called me a "homer". The answer is, they build and sell New Homes. Lots of New Homes !!!! That means money. Lots of it !!! Sundays Salt Lake Tribune (Sept. 15th) ran an article by Gary Cannon, President of the Salt Lake Board of Realtors that explained it better than I can. Here's some of (1 comments)
Tooele, Stansbury Park, Grantsville, Stats are OK, TODAY!!! - 09/20/07 01:31 PM
The Salt Lake Tribune reported today, Sept.12, 2007 that the National Association of Realtors has lowered the 2007 existing home sales forecast for the 7th straight month. They have predicted an almost 9% drop from last year. The "Trib" quoted a Salt Lake Board of Realtors report of a 2% decline in Home sales in Tooele County during the second quarter of 07.( more than 95% of County sales come from Tooele City, Grantsville, and Stansbury Park). Two things bother me about that article appearing in a morning newspaper: 1. The article is not timely and presents a distorted view of whats happening NOW (0 comments)
