This is the one day every year that we mass a large number of our fellow Realtors and visit with our legislators during the 45 day session. One of the first questions we are asked by someone moving to Tooele County is, "how are the schools"? That's an easy answer, having raised six kids in this school system. The schools are great. The problem becomes what to say when they ask which ones are the best,and where they should buy. The Tooele County School District covers a huge geographical area, from Lakepoint to Wendover and south to Vernon, as well as schools in Dugway and Ibabpah in the west desert. A couple of weeks back, I went on a bit of a rant regarding a lender I was dealing with on an REO transaction. This is truly the transaction that keeps on giving. We are dealing with several REO/short-sale transactions in Tooele, Grantsville and Stansbury Park, but on this one we've had goofy lenders, listing agents and Title officers (out of State!). The appraiser was great (don't get to say THAT every day!), and required a couple of things repaired, which the bank agreed to.
