Tooele UT home prices are up city by city, but that's only part of the picture.
How does Tooele UT compare to the national numbers about housing sales? I posted this article from my friends @ KCM re/ home sales as they relate to various price ranges.
We all know that real estate is local so these figures don't mean as much as I would like. SO.......I'm digging into the local stats provided by the MLS to see if we can come up with some meaningful figures to give us a better perspective.

If you watch the national, or even the local media, you may understand why I've been a bit apprehensive about seeing these Tooele County Home Sales statistics for the 3rd Quarter.
Even though my own personal market barometer (how much is the phone ringing!) was telling me that things were getting a little more "back to normal" in Tooele County, or at least what passes for normal! The third quarter sales numbers of Homes Sold In Tooele County generated by the Wasatch Front Regional MLS seem to bear that out.

It's time for my monthly brag about Tooele County. Tooele Short Sales are still down, and thats a real good thing.
Out of all the homes for sale in Tooele County, and as of the last day of May, there were 609 homes on the market, less than 5% (30) were considered to be a home for sale "under duress". IE: Bank Owned, Foreclosure, REO, Short Sale, or a home that would require the approval of more than just the home owner to be sold.

Actually were reporting on about 98% of the homes in Tooele County. Those homes sold in Tooele City, Stansbury Park, Erda, & Grantsville Ut.
I know were only 13 days into the new year, and it's early to determine trends yet, but in a market like this, and with last year to measure against were going to be doing this about every week.
What motivated me today was reading Cories blog in our Salt Lake Office. I noticed that Bank involved sales and listings, IE: Huds, Foreclosures, REOs, repos, and Short Sales, in most areas of Salt Lake County were hovering around the 7 to 10% … (0 comments)

Home sales in Tooele County for December were down again, and I could hear a collective sigh of relief as 2007 came to an end.
Everybody connected with any facet of Real Estate is glad to see the year end. Real Estate Agents, Home buyers, Home sellers, title folks, appraisers, and lenders look forward to a turn around in 08.
Since these housing numbers are behind us, and our new years resolution was something about being forward looking I'm not going to spend a lot of time and ink on this report. Some of you like to trend these numbers though, so here goes.
