Enjoy the Walk - An Inspiring Journey - 02/26/10 12:18 AM
Dashing across Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday night, I saw a site that made me stop the car to take a closer look.  I was rushed for time because of back-to-back appointments but I was just too curious not to stop.  Walking along the side of our famous route 66 were two people in reflective vests marked 'Enjoy the Walk' and 'Walking Across America'.  What were they up to and why were they in Rancho Cucamonga - I just had to find out.
Shay and George are participating in a coast-to-coast walk to raise awareness about exercise.  George's story is quite inspirational … (6 comments)

More Handy Photos to Take at Your Bank Owned Listing - 02/18/10 06:12 PM
In an earlier blog I pointed out the importance of appliance serial numbers when taking photos of your bank owned listing.
Well, appliance serial numbers aren't the only thing that you need to photograph.  One the same listing as the appliance theft I also took a photo of:

Seems like something pretty random, right?  Well, the problem here was that the homes on this street were all renumbered and the street was renamed a couple of years earlier.  The records at the gas company and the electric company were NOT updated to reflect the new address.  So I had to prove … (0 comments)

Handy Photos to take at your Bank Owned Listing - 02/17/10 11:20 PM
I've learned the hard way on a few of my bank-owned listings that you can NEVER take too many pictures.  You just never know when you're going to need some piece of information that can only be found at the property or from a photo that you were smart enough to take on a prior visit.  :-)
This is a double oven in a bank owned house:

And on the morning that the property was SCHEDULED TO RECORD! I took the following photo:

Yes - the double ovens are missing.  On the day that we were to record.  The … (4 comments)
