Its not every weekend that one gets the chance to go river rafting down the Klamath River, just a short two hour drive from Medford, Oregon to Happy Camp, California.  That was the plan for 26 Boy Scouts and 9 leaders today. 
We had it all set up with rafts from SOU Outdoor Program and all of the transportation.  We spent two nights beforehand at the Dillon Creek Campground, which is a beautiful campground on the warm creek with is great for swimming with its warm pools and pretty mild current.  … (0 comments)

Cell phones, cell phones, cell phones, you can't live life without them, and you can't live life with them.  I thought it would be fun to find out who has the best cell phone plan and which company has the best coverage.

Today in our Medford Rotary meeting that meets at the Rogue Valley Country Club every Tuesday at 12:00 noon, we had the privilege of listening to Craig Stone, who is in charge of the Northgate Centre project that is expecting to begin construction in Spring 2008.

Life is so fragile.  One of my first time home buyer clients that just had just recently moved into their home, just found out their precious 5 year old daughter has kidney cancer.  On Monday she went in for surgery and they removed a tumor the size of a nerf football.  He called me on Wednesday and said that given their situation they need to sell their house to help put their daughter through all of the radiation and chemotherapy that will be needed outside of our area.

In an effort to help get a home sold faster, my client decided to take matters into her own hands and called the local newspaper to help.  The newspaper called about 10 days ago to have their reporter and photographer come out to their gorgeously remodeled home with a totally remodeled kitchen, travertine tiled dining room and custom mosaic tile work in the bathrooms.

Beautiful Jackson County Oregon has just finished another volatile month.  Last month sales were up and prices were down, this month, sales are down but prices are up.  The numbers are as follows for the months of June, comparing June 2006 to June 2007 for Jackson County Oregon, single family dwellings.
244 homes sold in June 2007, with a Median price of $326,250, with 101 average days on market.
305 homes sold in June 2006 with a Median price of $315,000, with 78 average days on market

My family and I just got back from a place we'd never been, Trinity Lakes California.  We were all set to go to Lake Shasta, a short 2 1/2 hour drive from Medford, but a friend of ours, a local Boy Scout Scoutmaster said, if you're thinking of going to Shasta, you really ought to consider going to Trinity Lakes.  He went on to say, its just like Lake Shasta, but without all of the crowds, and boy was he right, not to mention, a little cooler.
