It could be a wonderful supplement! I was working with a single woman, a professional with stable income.You see this woman was in her early 50's and was seriously thinking of buying her first home. We had the usual discussions about retiring and having enough money as we grow older, especially being female and single. She was pre-approved and ready to go. We found the perfect place with nothing to do. She got a serious case of cold feet and a few friends convinced her that homeownership would keep her housebound and poor.
