A while back I told you that I was starting to advertise with what they call a "bundle"...which means it's a combination of different ads, within the week, in my local newspaper. Well, I'm just finishing that 13 week stint up, and there are a few IDEAS/INSIGHTS it's given me and wanted to share with you. 1) How many people are reading the newspaper? Good Question! While I have certainly gotten response, it's not the the olden days where my phone would ring off the hook. I am one of the only Realtors who has been selling 18 years and still does their own Transaction Coordinating, right?
BUT.....How much time are we wasting doing it ourselves? Would it be easier if we were able to turn it over to someone else? Is $350 or $400 worth the easier life, more time and more potential sales? I'm debating what to do with this? On the one hand, I like the control it gives me to know all was done my way, disclosed my way, etc....and on the other....I'd love the more time. Are we at Ground Zero yet? - 05/18/10 01:53 AM
Well, let me see if any of us has a crystal ball...Is there a crystal ball or two in the room? How many times have I heard we are at the bottom of the market in California...and then, I have this funny feeling that things are not at the bottom yet...or that we can expect the unexpected almost....anyone else feeling the same? When asked if we're at the bottom, what do we say? I was asked that very same question tonight while on a listing appointment with new clients and I felt kind of relieved that they believed and agreed with (6 comments)
Via Stewart Penn - Los Angeles Condo Specialist (Penn Properties ): Foreclosure Radar has published an encouraging report on the current foreclosure activity in California. Of major significance is that foreclosure filings in April were down for the first time since the beginning of this year and foreclosure cancellations are up 32% from the beginning of the year. The fact that the number of Notice of Defaults and Notice of Trustee Sales are down indicate that both short sales and loan modifications are helping to improve the situation. I am preparing, like many other Realtors in my local area of Rancho Cucamonga, to begin holding Open Houses in the near future. There are a number of things that are positive about Open Houses. 1) Allows my sign, my name and hopefully past clients to see and reconnect with me 2) Allows new Buyers to see those and hopefully connect with me 3) Gives me a chance to show and sell the home I'm holding Open (it's happened at least once during my 18 years in Sales of Real Estate lol) 4) Gives me a chance to bake cookies and (3 comments)
Is Your Brand Working?.....Advertising Bundle with Local Newspaper + - 05/13/10 12:04 AM
Is anyone out there bundling their services? You save money, so if you aren't, you should. The most common bundling of services is through Verizon, our local telephone company. If you order Direct TV with them, DSL or Fios and Home Phone Service, it's like getting the home phone number free. Or at least it is here in Cali. Another way you can hopefully save more money is in your advertising. Some local newspapers will work with you to give you better rates if you advertise more. Have you looked into it? What or why are we all trying so hard and excited about working for free? Well, not really for free..but doesn't it feel like it sometimes? Ok, so now that I hopefully have some of your attention...
