ANYWAY..QUOTE OF THE DAY!! - 11/30/10 01:04 AM
Got this quote off a fellow office mate's signature line tonight...was really fun to read.  Hope you enjoy it too!
People are often unreasonable, self-centered: Forgive them anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you, but be honest anyway. What you spend years to build, someone could destroy overnight. Build anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow. Do good anyway. You see, in the final analysis it is between you and God; it never was between you and them anyway.

Buon Appetito! Sunday Night "The Grand Parisien" Salad-in-a-Bag - 11/28/10 10:47 PM
Hi...it's Sunday night and after the holiday and working over the weekend, didn't feel like going out and paying $12 for a salad that I could have at home for less than $4.  Have you tried the Ready Pac Salads? My sister turned me onto "The Grand Parisien" one and it's a complete salad, tasty, I skip the dressing they provide (Vinaigrette), add Olive Oil and Ground Pepper...PRESTO! YUMMY from a Bag, Healthy and a time saver.
Buon Appetito!

The Brown Derby of Palm Springs Still Delicious: Welcome to "The TROPICALE" - 11/28/10 08:34 PM

Today I visited a wonderful restaurant that is hip, just enough swank and a whole lot of delicious!  It's called "The Tropicale".  Located at 330 E. Amado Road, in Palm Springs, CA and you can find them on the web at www.thetropicale.com.
If you haven't been there, a friend of mine once described it to me as "The Brown Derby" of the Desert...once I was there for dinner and saw, gazing straight towards me from her table, none other than Cloris Leachman, herself.

There are several yummy dishes on the menu, not to mention numerous cocktails and beverages.  I enjoy Happy Hour there … (0 comments)

What is The Entry Level Pricing on a Getaway Condo in Palm Springs? - 11/28/10 02:35 AM
Yesterday, I listed what I would consider a fairly "Perfect" Getaway Condo in Palm Springs, CA.  It's at Biltmore Condominiums, on the second floor, overlooking a pool...What a great space it is!  It's one bedroom, one bath, open living room with lots of light, functional kitchenette...not the biggest kitchen on the planet by any means, but certainly a functional, useable and larger that some I've seen..it's a Spacesaver Kitchen  (hehe).
I love the price most...it's only $99,000.
There are other Condos for sale in Palm Springs..Check with a local professional for your most current information on inventory and what works best … (0 comments)

"How's the Short Sale Going?" - 11/28/10 02:22 AM
Phil has some great points and I especially appreciate him outlining the process here on short sales and their progress.
Note:  You have to have an offer on a short sale in order to make progress getting it approved through the bank(s)...Amen Phil!
Thanks for a great post!

Confessions of a Short Sale Agent: I Already Hate Your Bank - 11/28/10 02:11 AM
Tni has some excellent points...We feel this way sometimes (yes, it's true!) if we are working for you and doing all we're supposed to with no results or not even a blink from your bank...Luckily, our Short Sale Specialist has a relationship already with some of these banks specialists, so if we mind our p's and q's...we may just get some good results.
Here's to Positive Results...
Check out this GREAT post!

What Does a Picture Mean To You? (is it worth 1,000 words?) - 11/27/10 04:57 PM
What Does a Picture Mean to You?
I don't think we think much about how our life can be told in pictures...or the judgements we make about the pictures we are looking at?  Have you ever looked at a picture and thought,  "That's a cool pic!"?  Or vice versa?  Then you know what I'm talking about.

The nature of photos and "what they mean" has and will continue to change as we progress.  They will become increasingly important.  The next time you're taking pics, make it interesting!!!  Stage it UP a little!!  ADD a little color...maybe similar colors in the pic to … (2 comments)

Buying a Home That Grabs You! - 11/23/10 11:44 AM
When searching for that perfect home, you drive into the neighborhood and suddenly feel it grab you...you feel like, "Yes, I could live here!"... Have you ever gotten that feeling?

Several years ago, I drove up to a home that I had called on in the newspaper, and immediately thought to myself, "This home would never work for me!  Look at how the driveway slopes down towards the garage.  I bet when it rains, the garage floods."  But since I was there, I thought, I may as well go inside.

From the moment I opened the front door, I was enchanted.  … (2 comments)

Handwriting My Annual Holiday Cards to Clients - 11/22/10 10:59 AM
Does everyone hand write their cards?  I used to put labels and I don't think my clients care too much...but this year am doing in handwriting.

What does a handwritten envelope mean to the client?
More Personal?
I took the time to write "to" them?
I Like Them?
Your thoughts?

When you're in the mood for a fun cup of coffee and to visit Palm Spring's Most Popular Coffeehouse...Try Koffi!!  Koffi has two locations in Palm Springs.  The first is on your way into town if you're driving from the (Interstate) 10 freeway...located at:
515 North Palm Canyon Drive

The cool thing about this flagship location is that it's also a great place to bring your favorite socialized pooch!  Many customers bring their dogs and sit in the back grass courtyard at the base of the Beautiful San Jacinto Mountains right there...and it's a fun place to visit, people watch … (5 comments)

What Do Frank Sinatra, Richard Nixon, Sonny Bono, Shirley Temple, Gene Autry, Eisenhower and Bob Hope All Have in Common? - 11/17/10 06:01 PM

I had a great time today...it was one of those days that you go back to the same restaurant for the second visit, albeit the day after my first visit!  The restaurant is called "ELMER'S" and it's a medium to large sized Coffee Shop conveniently located on East Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs, California. I have passed by it several times in the past few months and noticed that it's always busy, with a full parking lot.

As you walk-in to Elmer's, you immediately notice the open space and clever, colorful art hanging around the lobby.  Most of … (4 comments)

Buyer's Agent: Have you no Sincerity at all??? - 11/08/10 11:38 PM
First and Foremost, I'd like to "Thank" Active Rain for reading about this and the Opportunity for it to help all of us "heal" a little...This is bound to happen, it's not the first, won't be the last...but,
HAVE YOU NO SINCERITY BUYER'S AGENT?
I know it takes all kinds...this is part two to my previous blog entry about a Buyer's Agent who Made An Offer on My Listing, then Once it was Accepted, Rescinded it...

If Your Clients Didn't Want The Property, Why Did You Write The Offer in the First Place? - 11/08/10 11:19 PM
Have you ever had an Agent send in an offer for your listing, and after you get it accepted, they rescinded their offer?
What to learn from this one?
Just finished sending over the confirmation of a cancellation of offer...from an Agent who initially called and called, then when I called back, ignored me for a day, then called back and said, "Sorry, I couldn't call you back, I was busy."  Hmmmmm
It gets better, this agent then told me that they were going to scan over the offer, but since they were leaving the office and they saw a fax … (2 comments)

What Do You Feel GOOD About Today? ~ THE LAW OF ATTRACTION IS WORKING - 11/03/10 04:02 PM
This isn't new technology...in fact, "The Secret" says it's centuries old...and to many of US in the room, it's not a SECRET.  IT'S A GIFT.

FOCUSING ON THE POSITIVE AND GREAT THINGS helps you to ATTRACT more Positive, as well as forget about the Negative.
One of my own favorite saying that I learned from "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne is to focus on the positive, and then the negative just disappears.  (Or I FORGET ABOUT IT...YEAH!)
The more POSITIVES we have in our lives, the better.
I put a quote on my facebook this morning.  It comes from Jerry and … (2 comments)
