LEGENDARY VINCE'S SPAGHETTI in Rancho Cucamonga on historic Route 66 - 02/28/11 11:57 PM

Vince's is a historic landmark on Route 66 and was the second location from the legendary Holt Avenue Home-Style Italian Eatery. Try their Spumoni, Spaghetti with Meat, Marinara or al burro....(with butter)..it's all good and they have a favorite dish of mine called, Mostasagna! (it's Mostaciolli pasta and lasagna combined...DELICIOUS!!!)
From what I understand, Vince's began as a fruit stand and the stand became a restaurant when customers started asking for their own servings of home-cooked lunches brought to Vince and his wife.
They have garlic and cheese breads, as well as simple salads with Classic Italian on them...I think … (0 comments)

Showing a Rental Turned into a Sale ... - 02/26/11 06:08 AM
The other day I was showing a condo for rent in Rancho Cucamonga...to a past client.  She liked it....one bedroom too small, wasn't quite sure about the dollar amount.  When I saw her credit score...I thought, why don't you buy?
So while I was with her, I mentioned it.  Never thinking, I was "interfering" or getting too personal about what she should or shouldn't do....
THE NEXT MORNING....Sure enough, without me evern thinking twice about my question the night before, she emailed me and wanted my preferred lender's telephone number.  She said she wanted to ask my lender about pricing, payments, … (9 comments)

Homeselling 101....How to Begin Preparing to Sell Your Home - 02/26/11 12:51 AM
Homeselling can be a tricky and intricate process. As You and Your Realtor navigate through the process of selling your home...You will at some point, get to preparing your home to sell....

First things first, Walk through your home with your agent. Pretend that you are a potential buyer. Many home sellers are so familiar with their own homes that they fail to notice the shortcomings...have your agent point them out to you.
An example: Do you enter through the front door as you come into your home each day? If you don't, that is most likely the door … (7 comments)

Choosing The Right Agent for You - 02/26/11 12:40 AM
How do you know you've chosen the right agent?
Most people start on their search to finding the perfect agent for them by getting recommendations from friends and neighbors. But it rarely pays to take the advice of one person, no matter how much you trust his/her judgment.

What are some questions you could ask them that would reveal that? How about these:
1) How many homes have you closed in my city the past few years?
2) How long have you been in the business?
3) How many homes did you close escrow on last year?

4) What … (3 comments)

CAN LANDSCAPING ON A BUDGET STILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE? - 02/26/11 12:31 AM

Absolutely! You betcha...Why not? Sure it may not be exactly as luxurious as if a Landscape Professional did it, but you never know until you try!
I can't believe what a difference getting rid of the old overgrown, crazy bushes etc. makes when you replace it and "open up" an area of a yard...can you? Or laying sod down looks so idyllic!
Whether it's drought resistant that you're seeking, or something more substantial, or maybe delicate, there are many choices now....you can stop by a local Armstrong Nursery or You can head over to the local Hardware Store, Lowe's or … (2 comments)

A BLOG A DAY, Helps Keep the ____________ Away! - 02/25/11 12:39 PM
Was goal setting this morning when I thought of this saying....and it's so true. Not only could it help boost my business, but it could also help me stay focused, cutting edge and I'm sure many other benefits!
Sure, an apple a day helps keep the doctor away...and a blog (or two) a day, help keep the __________ Away!
Feel free to add your own word to my saying and let's have fun with this!

Is Your Home Ready for It's Close-Up? - 02/24/11 06:55 PM

If you've considered selling and are in the preparation stages...here are some tips on things most looked at by Buyers when they are viewing your home: Clean Closets!
All sellers know they should be clean but they make the mistake of cleaning as if they're having a party...you know, just pushing the clutter to where you can't see it. Potential homebuyers will be opening closet doors, unlike good party guests, and checking inside cabinets...be sure they (closets, pantry and cabinets) are really "ready" for their close-up! Follow Your Nose or Theirs!
How does your home smell? The smell of your … (5 comments)

FHA GUIDELINES TAKE ANOTHER TURN.. - 02/24/11 06:35 PM
FHA GUIDELINES TAKE ANOTHER TURN..

Talked with one of my lenders last night and sad to hear that FHA has changed some of their guidelines.

SURPRISE!
Let me give you some background....My clients short-saled their home through me the past few months. WE recently closed escrow, they are in temporary housing and we are supposed to begin house hunting March 1st. Unfortunately, looks like we won't be able to ....

According to the new  lending rules that went  out on Wed, they  now have made it more difficult for  buyers who have spouses  who have a  had  a … (0 comments)

Give Your Kitchen Cabinets a Well-Deserved Retirement - 02/24/11 06:19 PM
Did You Know You Can Refinish or ReFace Your Kitchen Cabinets?

One of the most common things I see nowadays is that when someone buys a new place, they don't like their kitchen cabinets....would you agree?

Have you seen those homes where you think IF ONLY it weren't oak, or espresso in color, I'd LOVE that kitchen! Or maybe you already own that place? LOL
Stress no more!

There are multiple options. Recently, I have come across a few flip-homes (where an investor purchased it and then rehabbed and is selling for a profit) and have noticed they … (4 comments)

You CAN AFFORD Your Favorite Neighborhood!!! - 02/24/11 06:11 PM

Guess what? With prices being what they are right now You may be closer than you think to affording that neighborhood that has always seemed just out of your price range. It's worth a try, eh?

Neighborhoods have dropped in some cities across the United States and within California, as well, as much as 50% from what they were selling at in 2006. So why not check it out?
What do you have to lose?

You may just find that you CAN AFFORD IT and when prices keep going up, it will make it harder and … (0 comments)

Today I had lunch at a local hangout where I even got to see the Red Hat Ladies Luncheon!  Yup!  Very true...It's called Old Creek House.   It's a great place to eat...!  Service was great, location superb, at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, so what a view!  Patio was beautifully landscaped with flowers and a fountain, too...and the food was yummy.

I had the Berkeley Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries...I would recommend the sandwich, especially for those Vegan Eaters!  It has avocado, too!  The Ice Tea, hit the Spot!
Pricing is moderate..ranging from $5-6 to about $13-14 for … (2 comments)

Professionalism to the Nth Degree! - 02/05/11 01:49 PM
Brian West, from Arizona iMortgage just inspired me this morning to write about "the experience".... Isn't that what we're selling?  That's what I sell.

What are some of the things that will keep people/clientele coming back for more?
1)  Maybe it's the update call you do regularly to keep your clients informed of the transaction details?
2)  What about the late night calls just to be sure they get some information you know they may be thinking about before they go to bed and you may just help them get a good night's sleep if you call tonight, instead of … (5 comments)

Casual Lender Call Turns Into a FIERCE Sales Call....OMG! Do You Listen? - 02/05/11 01:13 PM
Just got off the telephone with a very nice, ambitious lender who was marketing herself from a different area, but said she does loans within the 50 states.
Have you ever gotten off the telephone and what appeared to be a casual call, turns into a fierce sales call that you feel (exagerating) knocked the wind and umpf out of you for a moment?
I just did and to tell you the truth, why would I want to refer my precious clients to someone like this....

Who Would I refer them to?
1)  Someone who is conscientious of their time … (6 comments)
