One of my clients called me and asked to have a meeting. They are truly dream clients and so of course I made myself available at their request. Their listing was coming up for renewal so I mentioned this and they told me to bring the paperwork with me and of course they wanted to relist. Turns out the meeting was about just that, relisitng. They wanted to assure me they thought I was doing a wonderful job and were happy with the numerous showings they have had thus far. In a previous blog I wrote yesterday I asked for advice on dealing with less than competent agents in the business. The response was great and their was some good advice handed out. This is kind of a second part to that because a lot of you said you end up having to work twice as hard and really work both sides of the transaction. I have also had to work the entire transaction. Here is a question I would like to throw out to the agent community. What do you do when you work with an agent that is totally incompetent? I don't mean just a little lazy or perhaps not as attentive as you would like them to be. I mean they really have no idea what they are doing. These types of agents make our job harder and in the end they make us look bad. I often think what the transaction would be like if they were working with someone who knew as little as they did.
