Every day it seems that my email in-box is full of contradicting reports about the economy and the housing market. Are we in a recovery? Are we not in a recovery? I guess that depends upon who you ask. In north metro Atlanta we seem to be experiencing a shortage of non-distressed properties for sale. And the banks seem to be holding back on releasing their REO products, compounding the supply problem. Appraisers haven't gotten the word yet, so the comps are still very low, which means that although supply is tight and demand is picking up, the banks aren't loaning what … (1 comments)
