Sales have shown a little spike this past week despite the snow we had for Thanksgiving! Things are looking up and snow is always welcome here in the North. We had a inch or so on the ground when we woke up today with more to come in the next few days. Area ski hills are opening all over the region. People are busy getting there skis and snow machines ready! Some of the smaller lakes and ponds are beggining to freeze and we are seeing huge numbers of water fowl passing through! The Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy is a private, nonprofit corporation. They provide protection to significant natural, scenic, and farm lands for now and future generations. They accept donations of land or conservations easments. They also buy land or certain rights to lands. They work in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Manistee Counties.

First Touch of Snow! Traverse City - 11/05/07 07:29 PM
I did not think it was ever going to come this year. The first snow, sleet showers of the year hit TC! No it did not stick or even last very long. But the weather did change in the last few days to rain and then tonight we saw are first glimpse of snow. The fall season has been wonderful so far, with sunny and warm afternoons.
