I get to drive through a fine horse property community in Placerville on a regular basis. It is nice to pass through and see the many acres of white fenced horse areas, the riding arena, and the many horse trails in Greenstone Country in Placerville, CA
I took the opportunity to get this shot over the horse arena with one of the lakes in the background. These are the kind of views that Greenstone Country has to offer homeowners and visitors in this horse property community.

When it comes to getting out for some exercise in the Sierra Foothills, there are numerous walking, riding, and horseback riding trails for the enthusiast in El Dorado County. One of the latest additions was a 2.6 mile stretch in Diamond Springs, CA. This leg of the El Dorado Trail is named “Trestle Segment”.

An unexpected rain last night/early this morning came as a surprise in the Sierra Foothills. It was kind of inconvenient; I think I left my truck windows open.

Lots of changes in the work day today; the original plan wasn’t in the cards. What is it about Mondays and the need for acting quick on your feet? I got through it unharmed and looking forward to tomorrow.
The weather had some changes too. It was pretty cloudy to start the day, than the last of the clouds for a few days drifted away.

Two days ago the weather was in the 70’s and spring seemed just around the corner; today we got a light sprinkling of snow with the temperature getting into the 20’s tonight. That’s quite a change in 48 hours.
The snow got down to some pretty low elevations; low enough to make it to my neighborhood.

Dave’s Driving School in Placerville is a driving school that many of the young drivers go to when they are preparing for their driving test. My boys each spent the required driving hours at Dave’s Driving School. The driving instruction at that time was done in some sedan that was not all that memorable.

A lot of things can good through your head when you get that frantic call, the family was okay. There wasn’t any medical emergencies, no property loss, and friends and family were just fine. This was a call for help because they tried all they could to solve the problem.

Temperatures have been dropping in Placerville at night, and throughout the Sacramento region. Black ice on the roads and freeways has created problems driving, two to five feet of snow expected this weekend, and construction projects require much warmer clothing.  
 
This photo is very familiar to many in the country, but to those in Placerville, icicles are not a common sight.

It was quite a day trying to get a plumbing drainage leak under control in an apartment in Fair Oaks today. It was nice to get a glimpse of the sunset before getting home. I had to stop a snap a shot of the sunset from Placerville, the cloud cover brought out some great colors.
