New Orleans Among 10 Cities Where Prices Expected To Rise in 2011 - 01/30/11 12:45 PM
A recent summarizing article from REALTOR Mag, the online magazine of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), listed 10 American cities where Clear Capital's Home Data Index expects home prices to rise in 2011. New Orleans has come in at number 10 on that list, with an expected rise of 0.5%. The article from NAR (which pulled its information from MSNBC) can be found here.

Happy Twelfth Night, ya'll! Today is the official start to Mardi Gras season in New Orleans. And though Mardi Gras day isn't until March 8, there's still much ado in the city and surrounding areas as the Carvival Krewes that parade through town begin holding their annual balls and parties. The float builders have been at work since the end of last season, and the region is preparing itself for the return of the biggest party in the world.
