The number of homes sold in January is down from December in most subdivisions of Trinity; but inventory is also down. Prices seem to be just a little bit higher in the area than for the last few months.

Bark for Life is the Canines for a Cure fund-raising event supporting Relay for Life of New Port Richey-Florida. While the American Cancer Society does not fund research that affects our furry friends, this event gives us an opportunity to be empowered through their canine companions. And, it gives everyone a chance to contribute to finding a cause for cancer.
Family members and their canine companions can come out and enjoy demonstrations, contests and games to support the American Cancer Society.

This cute looking guy is a Painted Stork, he has pink feathers and looks like a rainbow on legs (long, skinny legs). Painted Storks live in Asia and they are happy there--they don’t migrate. They nest in trees alongside other water birds; and when feeding they immerse half their beak in water and sweep side to side to snap up fish.
This lucky duck--oops, I mean Painted Stork has been adopted by Animal Kingdom in Disney World-Orlando. And, I'm sure he's happy there too.
He looks happy, I think, although it's hard to tell.

The West Pasco Pregnancy Center provides women and families free ultrasounds, pregnancy tests, baby clothes, diapers, parenting classes, counseling services and many other programs. Brad Andersohn has given us a new "Picnik-style" photo editor. Meet iPiccy.com (picnik's twin). I tried it out and it's so much like Picnik; the only thing I couldn't find was collages and slideshows but those can be done on many other programs.

Networking for a Cause - Maria’s Dream - A Mission to Bring Medicines to Haiti from New Port Richey-FL
Craig and I have a networking group called Networking for a Cause. Last night we helped our sweet friend Maria Johnson of Joseppi’s Deli & Market toward her dream of going on a 5 day mission to Haiti

Maria wanted to go on a mission trip ever since she was a young girl. When she met Guiga Vieria, president of People for Haiti, she knew this was what she wanted to do. Her goal was to raise $1,000 for her trip; but she needed $500 first just to quantee her spot and that was what we wanted to get for her.
Networking for a Cause held the fundraiser last night at Alli Gators-Trinity (Thank you, Warren & the staff); and so many generous people came out that Maria has almost reached her $1,000 goal. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Maria Johnson & People for Haiti.
