This rather ominous looking storm cloud moved in very quickly. We were staying at Coronado Springs in Disney World and relaxing on the patio outside the hotel a few weeks ago.Needless to say, we all ran for cover. It got really windy, poured and poured-then the sun came back out. :) Florida storms can be awesome, lots of lightning and noise but they go as quickly as they come, and the sun always comes back out again. Cruising through the Brooksville Farmers Market a couple of weeks back, we met Mr. Warren Jensen (on the right) of Spring Hill, Florida - AKA “Greatpop.” Mr. Jensen makes and sells these wonderful wooden car, trains, and planes. I have always loved wooden toys (especially trains) so I had to take pictures and get his information so I could share his creations with you. The Brown Lacewing - a Beneficial Insect in New Port Richey-Florida and Everywhere This interesting looking insect was on our garage wall the other evening. It was quite large, and I took a picture (of course) and went in to look it up. I found that it is a Lacewing-in fact, it is a Brown Lacewing - There are Brown and Green Lacewings. Lacewings are beneficials that help farmers by eating aphids and other pests and are used for biological pest control. (So even the Brown Lacewings are “green”).
