Frazzled Friday - Meet My New Pet
I have had quite a day and didn’t have time to do much about a post so I thought I would put up a picture of my new pet. He’s easy to take care of, doesn’t eat much and doesn’t need brushing. No vaccines, no flea treatments: The perfect pet.



I wonder what my homeowners association is going to say about this? And, no I didn't get him from the SPCA Suncoast. Shhh, don't tell Craig.

I have a lovely Ligustrum bush by my front door and every spring a cardinal couple build a nest and raise their family in it.
Mom and Dad share feeding duties and this morning Mom was heading out to go shopping for groceries.  Of course, we keep her local supermarket nearby - our feeder is always filled.

We stopped on our way to Tampa to look at an antique car that was for sale (Craig has the bug again). It was parked in front of a medical center that was, of course, not open on Sunday (never on Sunday).

It was a beautiful early morning and we were enjoying our coffee on the porch. The birds were calling to each other, an owl was out there chomping on a toad when we first went out. One of my friends came with us to a Networking Mixer and said she was going to schmingle. It was an intriguing word so I looked it up. Shmingling or Schmingling seem to mean the same thing. According to the Urban Dictionary it is the art of shmoozing and mingling at the same time. There were other Urban definitions but they aren’t for publication here.

Sasha was being sooo helpful when I was packing away afghans and blankets recently. Can anyone tell me how to open the trunk without disturbing the cat. Yes, that is my Himalayan on top of MY pillow. She was sleeping so deeply that I couldn’t disturb her and went to another part of the house to work.

Actually, Sasha’s title is Queen Sasha. She skipped right over the princess part when she was very young; now she’s almost 16 and spends almost every waking moment sleeping. :)

Looking for a Butterfly to EatI watched this little Eastern Phoebe chase butterflies around trying to catch one for lunch. I caught him resting on my Lantana which is a very popular bush with the butterflies.


I'm not sure if it is a Phoebe but I liked the name. Anyway, it is definitely in the fly- butterfly- catcher category. If anyone knows, please tell me.

This is a question I get asked quite often when I bring a signed offer back to my sellers. They may have originally moved to Florida from a state where their contracts gave them time in the home after the closing.

We love Tarpon Springs especially downtown. On our way home from the Autos for Autism car show last week, we couldn’t use our usual street because it was full of antique cars - 3 rows across.
We ended up taking side streets; ones that were one way and the other way so we got to see some areas we hadn’t seen before. We stumbled upon this home with it’s certified American Garden. It has beautiful flowers, plants and interesting old garden “decorations”.

This really cute Parrot lives at the local gardening shop called Landscape Creations; he can really talk and knows lots of words. And, if you stand there and chat with him, he will do lots of little tricks for you.

We were there on a weekend when the weather was expected to turn really cold (the only one we've had this winter), and I noticed that he has his very own heater. The owners were busy putting all the plants inside because a freeze was expected.
