Tarpon Springs Fine Arts Festival on Spring Bayou Was Fabulous, If you missed it you must make plans to go next year. The Fine Arts Festival is held on the bayou in Craig Park every year. Many of the exhibits are displayed along the edge of the bayou and the views are wonderful.
 

 
The Festival was last weekend. We went Saturday morning; the temperature was about 70 with a wonderful breeze.

The exhibits were fun and wonderful as always. This is a juried art show and we get to see the best of the best

39th Annual Fine Arts Festival on the Bayou in Tarpon Springs FL
Yeah, it’s here again, one of our very favorite events and we’ve been going to it forever. The Tarpon Springs Fine Arts Festival is a judged art show on Spring Bayou at Craig Park, 100 Beekman Lane, Tarpon Springs. The Festival is April 6 from 9am-6pm. and April 7 9am-6pm. It's winter in Florida - We Have Skiing
It’s winter in Florida and we’re used to great weather, but we have been hitting 79-81☀ with soft breezes. It’s great to walk the beaches, or go for a swim, or spend time at one of our lovely parks. About the only thing we don't have is snow skiing.
We do have lots of water and you CAN ski there.

I love rocking horses; older is better so I look at them in antique stores when I go. I think I took this picture of the Pelican Rocking Horse at Carter’s Antique Asylum or perhaps the Court of Two Sisters in Tarpon Springs. He is just so sweet and looks old but I suspect he isn’t.  He’s just a unique piece that would look good anywhere.

Getting A Waterfront Facelift in Tarpon Springs. Yesterday at the Arts and Crafts Festival in Tarpon Springs at the Sponge Docks, we saw this Army Corp of Engineers dredger getting a makeover.



It was a lovely sunny day with the bluest sky and few clouds. No Photoshop here. All good!

We were all ready for our meetup on Wednesday at Rusty Bellies on the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Spring.  Barbara Jo Roberts texted me that the main street on the docks, Dodecanese Blvd, was closed due to standing salt water. There is an Art and Crafts Festival at the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs, FL is this weekend, it starts at 10am on Saturday Sept. 1 through 1pm on Sept. 3. You can read about it on their facebook page.

The Sponge Docks is famous for the sponge divers that built Tarpon Springs; and this statue was placed in their memory in 2002. Today, the Sponge Docks is full of fantastic restaurants and bakeries, and shops selling all kinds of merchandise including...….wait for it..........sponges.
