home stager: A Home Stagers Quickie Tip~Something For Buyers - 10/23/10 12:00 PM

When selling your home, you need to pull out all of the stops.  If your house is on the market and it is vacant,  one little tip is to leave mini water bottles or soft drinks in the refrigerator for buyers that are coming through.  A small sign can be left on the counter  to let buyers know there are complimentary drinks.  These can be bought in bulk at a box store.  This is just a little something that a buyer will remember and appreciate, and it doesn't cost a fortune.  Another tip if you really want to wow the buyers … (8 comments)

home stager: A Home Stagers Dirty Little Tip - 09/18/10 04:58 PM
One of the easiest things to do to update your home bathrooms when selling?  Change that toilet seat!   Maybe not the most glamorous of odd jobs, but somebody's got to do it.  It takes all of 5 minutes if that to replace.  The toilet lid...yuk, it's dirt, old, broken, outdated, cracked and sliding off the bowl, but yet I see it all the time.
Home Sellers this little tip only costs you about $30 or less per toilet and gives it, yes a new look, and something a buyer will certainly appreciate.
The older lid had hinges that are … (13 comments)

home stager: 15 Reasons A Vacant Home Should Be Staged - 04/11/10 06:23 PM
Why you should have your home professionally staged.
Did you know?
Only 10% of buyers can visualize their belongings in a vacant home, that means 90% can't. The longer a buyer lingers in a home the better, the average for a vacant home is 5 minutes opposed to 40 minutes for a staged property. A home that is staged gives the buyer an emotional connection to that home, and purchasing a home is one of life's largest emotional purchases. The longer a home sits on the market, the less it will be shown and will be considered a stale listing. Buyers interest in homes … (15 comments)
