Have you noticed the new changes League City has been making? A new mayor, new city council members, new city logo, new newsletter, new website, new developments...hard to keep up with it all. There's alot going on down in this growing city in between Houston and Galveston. Check out their new website here to see what all is going on this summer for the kids. Casa de Esperanza is a non-profit organization in Houston helping children to find a safe place to live. They provide psychological care to the children and family. These children are in an abusive, neglect or HIV/Aids environment. Their goal is to return the children back to stable homes with a safe environment. The International MOM's Club has an active chapter in League City/Dickinson. It is a support group for at-home mothers. Monthly act ivies include field trips, moms' night out, playgroups, park days and more. They also support local charities with service projects throughout the year. Have you heard of Webkinz? I'll bet your kids or any child you ask has. I hadn't until some friends of ours little kids ask me if I would go to the webkinz site for them. I had no idea what they were talking about, but their parents said it was ok. They logged in, and was too cute watching them navigate through this new craze for kids. Webkinz are little stuffed animals that you can buy virtual items for online.

kids: Thanksgiving Float Parade at Childrens Museum Houston

Friday, November 27 The Children's Museum of Houston will be having extra activities to celebrate Thanksgiving. By the end of the week, the kids will be ready for some fun. The museum will have a float parade which will be each childs floats down the hallways of the museum. Float making will be from 10am until 1pm and the Parade will begin at 1pm. When organizing your childrens closets before selling your home or for everyday use, it's a great idea to put matching pants, shirts, socks, and even their underwear (for children) on one hanger. Getting dressed then becomes a matter of grabbing a matched clothing "outfit" from the closet and then putting it on. No more kids in "mis-matched outfits", no more plaid shirts with striped pants and black socks. Parents will need to put the "outfits" together for them.
