Three days ago checking my numerous morning e-mails I have almost deleted an e-mail from Pie Town Productions. I thought this would be some spam info on how to advertise on TV or something. I decided to open an e-mail afterall just to see if there is any interesting information on what this company do. To my surprise the e-mail was personally addressed. Next was the name of my website and a request to contact a Production Manager of HGTV House Hunters reality series. The guys were looking for their international segment and found my website in Estonia for all places.

I made the call. HGTV House Hunters' Production Manager sent me two application forms and general info forms for international and US shows. You might find interesting what is required and how the show is done in brief.

Question: HOW DO I APPLY TO BE ON HOUSE HUNTERS?

Answer: Contact your current clients to see if any of them are interested in being featured on the show with you.  Once your clients agree to apply, have them fill out an application and make a home video pre-interview and send it to us by mail, Fed Ex (we'll give you our Fed Ex number) or they can upload their audition video onto our FTP website where we can view it. We will notify you if your application is up for consideration.

Q.        WHAT WILL THE CREW WANT TO SHOOT?

A.        Every episode of House Hunters consists of interviews with you and your clients, tours of homes that your clients are looking at and finally, your clients all settled into their new home.  Each episode strives to feature the unique challenges that arise when buying a home, as well as the excitement and satisfaction.

Q:        WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

A:        Once you and your clients finish the application process and are approved, the only other requirement is that you help us secure two houses to tour. We will need a signed location release for every house we tour at least 2 weeks before the shoot.

Q.        HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SHOOT AN EPISODE?

A.        We will need you on 2 of the 5 days that we shoot the episode.  Your clients are needed for 4 or 5 days. The shoot days typically break down like this (bolded days are the days you are needed): 

Day 1: a day at your client's house getting their backstory

Day 2: you and your clients will tour the first of 3 houses for one half of the day and the 2nd half of the day is an interview & b-roll with you at your office

 Day 3: you and your clients will tour the other two houses

Day 4: a follow-up interview with your clients once they've moved in

Day 5: a day of "scenics" (this may or may not include the clients)

Sorry all colleagues interested in SEO info, I had to stop writing for over a week for a very simple and good reason: after 5 months of extremely aggressive marketing over the internet and over 300 good leads with e-mails exchanged, phone calls made, invitations to visit Naples issued etc. all these people started coming to Naples Florida to buy. A wholoe lot of internationals. Only this week I have submitted 6 offers and have two approved sales with closing dates early next month for medium price range homes. I am working on 3 more right now. Waterfront homes availability requests have trippled and I am spending all day sending info to my clients and arranginf video shoots, previews, showings etc. Naples Florida definitely picked up in real estate sales.

So there is some interesting news on the internet though. Google has started a mortgage comparison feature which active Google users and ActiveRain users could find quite useful especially on the road on I Phone if need be.

Google Small Business Center feature is a great way of putting your website on the top of the first page with a map especially in niche real estate key words. The most important thing is to research your local key words and identify where Google allows Maps. Next step is to optimize your entry TITLE so that it reflects the key word perfectly. This way you will be able to get on top of Google Maps feature and stay there. Also remember that your website title and description should reflect that key word as well. Look at how I grabbed number one spot in a very lucrative local key word "Naples Waterfront Real Estate". www.NaplesRealEstateSeller.com is on top of the Maps feature. By the way this position brought me two clients with over $1,500,000 home buying requests just in one day.

Look at other agents' ads and you will see that they used different key words as their titles and they just don't show up in the first position. The beauty of Google Small Business Account is you can open a number of separate entries using different key words.

Now, is one entry enough for you to dwell upon or you want to strengthen your position even more and grab 2 or 3 more positions on the same page of Google?

That's where ActiveRain and other blogs and PR websites come into play. First of all research Google entries on the first 3 pages in your target key word. See what blogs, articles, videos or pictures are breaking through in Google search. Then write AR article using your target key ward as your TITLE and use your title in article text at least 5 times. Optimize your pictures and videos in this article to your target key words as well.  That way you can break through on the first page two to three times more.

Look at how I have taken Naples Waterfront key word by storm with a number of videos, articles and website itself by optimizing everything to one key word. All top entries and video pictures are mine.
