My Metro Moncton Residential Market Report includes the cities of Moncton and Dieppe as well as the Town of Riverview.
I've prepared the graph below to illustrate that metro units sales in the last 90 days of 2010 have been the lowest of the last four years. The average days on market of these sales is running at over 100 days, a record high for the period.

Fredericton Moncton Saint John Real Estate Sales Reveal Downward Trend - 07/31/10 03:39 PM
My visual representation clearly illustrates a general downward trend in the total number of sales in all three major New Brunswick real estate markets - Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton. I've prepared these three graphs to show the total number of all types of reported MLS® sales for May, June and July compared to the two previous years.
Sales trends like this usually tend to favour buyers over sellers.

Moncton surges, Fredericton holds steady and Saint John slows down.

My chart illustrates the end of June 2010 numbers supplied by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation for the the Fredericton CA, the Moncton CMA and the Saint JohnCMA. New housing starts are one important indicator of local housing markets.
Total housing starts in Fredericton are holding steady while the Moncton starts are off to a much stronger pace in 2010, fueled mainly by a rise in multiple unit starts. Total starts in Saint John are at their lowest level in recent years. What's billed as the largest sporting event ever held in Atlantic Canada officially open last night in Moncton. The International Association of Athletics Federations World Junior Championships 2010 places Moncton and it's new stadium on the world stage.
The 400 meter, eight lane track has a Mondo FTX surface, the same artificial surface used at the Beijing Olympics.
