The Florida Legislature meets in special session this week to consider placing a constitutional amendment banning offshore oil drilling on the November ballot. But the session starting Tuesday, July 29th is also a fight between the Republican-dominated Legislature and Gov. Charlie Crist. The governor abandoned the GOP three months ago to run for the U.S. Senate as an independent.
