National Flood Insurance Program could expire December 13 AGAIN - 12/06/11 11:24 AM
Here we go again, the U.S. Senate could vote on legislation to extend the current National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), which expires Dec. 16, for six months. If another short-term extension passes, it will be the 13th time flood insurance has been reauthorized at the last minute since 2002. 
The U.S. Senate Banking Committee, which approved the long-term extension in September, is expected to file the bill with the full Senate. However, the bill doesn’t contain an amendment proposed by U.S. Sen.
