Bank of America recently played the teacher role when they decided to evaluate the success of the HAMP program. An article on HousingWire.com describes how they took 100 dilinquent loans through the process to give HAMP a grade. What did they find? Out of 100 loans how many do you think successfully navigated the HAMP path? The HAMP PathRight from the start, there were difficulties. After trying to make contact with these 100 owners, Bank of America had to mark 28 of them as unreachable. They reported making 110 phone call attempts as well as delievering eight customized letters to the candidates.
