Mortgage Logan Utah 3/10/10: Rural Housing running out of money - 03/10/10 10:08 PM
The USDA issued this statement today regarding funds for their residential mortgage program...
"This message is to notify you that program funding for the Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program will likely be exhausted by the end of April, 2010.
Once funding is exhausted, the Agency will not issue Conditional Commitments "subject to receipt of appropriated funds." This is because it is not certain when additional funding will be available."
It's not like Rural Housing hasn't run out of money in the past. However, in the past they would issue "conditional commitments" meaning that the lender could still fund the loan … (2 comments)

Logan Utah Mortgage 3/1/2010: The Seller Security Plan from ERA Advantage Realty - 03/01/10 04:37 PM
A real estate agent friend of mine was recently telling me about a very interesting program for helping people sell their home in this current market and I thought it deserved a blog post.
The part that caught my attention was that ERA will buy the home if it doesn't sell within 6 months.
The program does have some stipulations but to me it sounded like a great option for a lot of people that are having difficulty selling their homes in the Logan Utah market.
