Cameron Street Bridge - 09/23/07 10:51 AM
The Cameron Street Bridge, or 'The Old Nechako Bridge' as it was previously known, was built in Prince George in 1931. Prince George was a very different community then, and the bridge was built to span 183 metres of the Nechako River. Who knew that in later years heavy logging and chip trucks would travel its one lane day and night. The bridge was an important crossing over the Nechako River and connected the northern part of the city on what is now Highway 97 north. This was also the shortest route linking Highway 16 to Highway 97 and was a major route (2 comments)

Best Compliments - 09/15/07 10:21 AM
I was thinking the ther other day about some of the best compliments that I have received from clients since I began Real Estate in March of this year. Compliments are something that drive me to give great service and makes me strive to be even better. Some of the things that I have been told are: "You are so calm, it's really nice to be with you. You make me feel so comfortable" "You present yourself so well, I never would have known you are new in the industry" (from a listing presentation.. I didn't get the listing, but the experience was (2 comments)
Book Review: Pitch Like a Girl: Get Respect, Get Noticed, Get What You Want - 09/13/07 11:02 AM
Pitch Like a Girl: Get Respect, Get Noticed, Get What You Want I'm often looking for and reading business books to improve myself. Often books just go over the same old, common sense type stuff. This book grabbed me because it was so different. Written by Rona Lichtenberg, this book aimed at women in business and is directed at our style of doing business. It really struck me because my husband is always saying I need to me more forthright, more aggressive etc. I can't do business his way because it's not my style - I am able to get what I (5 comments)

Seeing My City with New Eyes - 09/03/07 06:14 PM
For the past two weeks I have been working with four sets of out-of-town buyers. It has been fun but exhausting. I have enjoyed showing off Prince George, exploring the neighbourhoods and searching for the perfect house for my buyers. During this process I am gaining a new appreciation for Prince George... I am no longer taking what the city has to offer for granted. I am seeing Prince George with new eyes. I'm seeing it with the perspective of my clients who have never been to Prince George before and they are filled with excitement when they see the wonderful facilities that (4 comments)
