I have lived Cromwell CT for many years, and it is a realitively small town to todays communities in Connecticut. When it comes to home repair we would have to travel ½ hour to get to the nearest commerical home improvement store. There is a Lowes and Home Depot in Newington, and a Home Depot in Middletown, CT. For me it is 6 of one half dozen of another to get to. I've noticed construction going on...and I've been watching and waiting as a new Lowes is opening up right here in Cromwell. THIRD CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH MILITARY WHIST 94 MINER STREET MIDDLETOWN, CT I received a call from the 3rd Congregational Church to see if I could blog about the card game Military Whist. They are having this at the church this Thursday, tomorrow, March 26th starting at 6:30pm. I personally am not familiar with this game, but it seems like fun once they told me about it.

First, let me say, I hope everyone had a very Happy New Year's Eve last night. It is now the start of 2009, and I'm hoping everyone is getting off on the right foot. We all made resolutions of one form or another.. and I'm sure we are ALL going to stick with them.. at least for the first week. LOL. My main resolution is an attitude change.. I have been told that gas prices have been coming down... which I have seen too. Connecticut though as one of the highest state tax on gas, that seeing prices as low as other parts in the country seem very unlikely.. until today. Here in Cromwell, CT at the Mobil Station on the corner of Route 3 and Route 372 made history today. I was passing by, and did a double take, and also a U-Turn to take a picture of this.
