This week, my RE/MAX Gateway broker, Scott MacDonald and I were at the RIS Media Annual Conference and it was an incredible opportunity to listen to where the real estate industry is heading...mainly towards new technologies and long term relationship building.

Some of the new technologies that are on the up and up include prospects receiving home audio tours from their cell phones (having the ability as agents to be sent text messages when they listen so quick follow up can be executed), new pricing matrix software that allow the agent to input the info and the software tell the seller precisely where to price their home, and new online marketing tools to provide better information and response time to the prospects.

The focus on relationship building went really deep. Listening to panelists on how they continue to provide value to their clients and the friendships they are building was incredible. One of the panelists mention they hold a year end party for agents that they worked with throughout the year. Another idea was using Brian Buffini's online business directory which allowed this agent to really position herself as a go to person to her clients.

It was a great opportunity to network and meet some of the best leaders in our industry. Some great things are coming our way!
