What is your most odd showing experience? - 08/11/07 02:51 PM
We showed a home today that we had set up last night. The owner said no problem just call him before we get there to make sure he is out and then go show. Well we called ahead as promised with no answer, left a message and knocked and rang the doorbell. Well we thought he was gone but no such luck. filthy home, machine guns in the corner and a minute later noticing him tucked into bed was enough, we were out of there! And people say that the life of a Realtor is uneventful ha!

What can't be said about this unique community with white picket fences and huge porches. To drive into this neighborhood is to step back into the past. A good majority of the homes have basements as well and don't forget the College Prep school Surrey Garden Christian School which is right in the middle of the Neighborhood. There is also a farmhouse restaraunt and coffee shop in the neighborhood as well. This is an awesome community! I hope that everyone looks at our overall picture of the Arizona Real Estate market. There are a lot of investors that are in real trouble for sure, thus the reason for the high foreclosure rate. There are also people that over extended themselves at the peak of the market in late 2005 and going into early 2006. It worries me that with all the media coverage of doom and gloom - that there is a possibility of herd mentality just like the stock market when something happens. Isn't it funny how not too long ago you couldn't even find a home for under $200.00/Sqft?
In my opinion, this Arizona correction is a welcome one. Although I know there are a lot
of people that are in trouble because of the market correction, and sure, my home price
