Their conservation projects are "designed to maximize the amount and quality of migration and wintering waterfowl habitat as well as improve conditions for waterfowl production". Saturday, March 30th
Prince Edward County Football Field 12 - 3pm - The New Life Assembly of God and the Town of Farmville are teaming up for their second annual Egg Drop. The day starts out with inflatable games from 12 to 2:30. Then everyone moves to get ready for the main attraction as the helocopter will be dropping 30,000 eggs onton the field at 3pm. For children 12 and under.

Old Time Dance in Pamplin, VA
This Saturday gather your old coats and bring them to the Pamplin Depot Freight Room on Main Street. The costes will be donated to local families in need. The music entertainment for the evening will be provided by Farm Use String Band. The evening will include door prizes, food, drinks and of course lots of old time dancing. Food, drinks and raffle tickets will all be sold to benefit the Pamplin Depot Restoration Fund.

This week is the 39th annual Virginia Chicken Festival, hosted by Burkeville Ruritans and Crewe Kiwanis. This festival is always filled with food & fun - I'm sure this year won't disappoint!

This year many people are trying to shop local and support the local economy. I read somewhere that for every dollar spent locally, sixty cents stays within the community.
So with that in mind, stop by this year's 32nd Annual Farmville Christmas Show. There will be over 50 local vendors there with homemade crafts, books and retail items. When I attended last year, they had fun activities for kids and food as well. This is the perfect spot to pick up unique gifts for your family and friends. Plus the best part it is a fundraiser

2011 Fuqua Homecoming Parade
My weekend started out with a bang on Friday, Oct. 21st. I had the pleasure of driving Ms. Lindsey Davis, Junior Princess 2011 in the Fuqua Homecoming Parade. The whole school turns out for this fun filled event. Since, Fuqua School is such a big part of what makes Farmville unique, it should be no surprise that many of our State Wide family took part in parade including two of our agents' sons and my beautiful granddaughter. Joyce Eggleston, both a friend and client, ended the parade in her golf cart.

There's Still Time to See A Favorite Holiday Tradition in Blackstone, VA
Many of us have written this year about holiday traditions and have now packed up the decorations to get started with the New Year. But in Blackstone, Virginia there's one hold out on holiday traditions. Bobby Daniel's owner of Bevel's Hardware in Blackstone, VA has created the ulitmate holiday tradition, with his spectacular model train display. His display is amazing to behold and is a delight for all ages...such that people from near and far travel to see this display ever year during the holiday season. However, with
