Coldwell Banker United Realtors held their annual sales rally and awards luncheon in Mobile Al.

If it hadn't been for my dad(Jimmy), I probably would not have entered the real estate business. I was wanting a change from the job that I had worked at for twenty-five tears. I was so afraid that I wouldn't have enough money to start on this new venture, that I kept putting off starting  school.  I voiced these concerns to my dad and without a moments hesitation he handed me the money I would need for schooling, fees, dues, a computer and endless other supplies. His champion of my new career has not stopped. If I need someone to help with putting up a sign, my dad shows up with sledge hammer. If I need someone to ride shotgun with me because I'm not sure of the area or its an isolated area, my dad beats me to my car. I could go on and on but I wont. I just wanted to thank one of the men in my life who has only voiced encouragement for his daughter.

 I joined the Friends of the Bay Minette Public Library for a wine and cheese soiree. We had a great crowd turn out for the music, silent auction, and art in the garden. This event raises much needed funds for children's reading programs. We had a lot of fun trying to out bid each during the silent auction. I won a beautiful painting by one of our local artist Jo Vickery. Barbara Brown headed up this event and you could tell that she put in a lot of time and effort. The artist that she gathered in the garden to display their work were wonderful. Hope to see you there next year.
