I haven't been blogging for a couple of weeks because I've been busy with a bunch of things...my Broker closed our Offices on December 13th due to illness (which means I had to find a new Broker, transfer my Listings, get new Signs made and posted, bla, bla, bla) and I was busy with friends and family visiting for the Holidays, Chamber of Commerce meetings, Big Brothers Big Sisters Events, and life goes on :)  If you celebrated on December 25th, I hope you had a great day with family and friends.  I … (7 comments)

Tarpon Bend Ft. Lauderdale - 12/09/07 12:00 AM
Thursday night, I went out with some Girlfriends to Tarpon Bend Ft. Lauderdale, which is a great Restaurant and Bar located in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale.  Tarpon Bend is located at:200 SW 2nd StreetFort Lauderdale, FL
They feature live music on Friday and Monday nights and have a GREAT menu and drink selections.  I had the Asian Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings, which were really different and yummy.
If you're in the Ft. Lauderdale area and are looking for a great place to hang out with friends, Tarpon Bend should definitely be on your list.

Looking for a Few Good Men! - 12/02/07 12:10 PM
If you've read my Blog for a while, then you might remember my post back in May about my experiences as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) for the past 10 years.  I started in 1997 when I was 20 and still enjoy volunteering as a Big Sister.  When I met my Husband in 2003, I introduced him to BBBS and he immediately became involved as a Big Brother. 
What we need is more Big Brothers!!!  There's a shortage of enough Big Brothers to be matched with all the Little Brothers that are on the waiting list.
