Adding a New Service to My Preferred Vendor List

It is always nice when you need someone for a service you haven't needed in awhile and you are lucky enough to run across someone who takes pride in their work, and does so with a smile.
Today, we needed someone to haul away some old appliances that were being discarded from a kitchen remodel.  Some still functioned perfectly, but are out dated and will not fit in with the remodel decor.
The service provider, Mark, of Mark's Hometown Hauling was such a pleasure to meet.  After chatting with Mark … (2 comments)

Inventory Levels for Boulder County and Surrounding Areas

Graph
Inventory levels in Boulder county and the surrounding area communities continue to lag behind last year's inventory levels. This of course is placing buyers in a bit more of a competition with each other as new homes come on the market.  There is definitely pent up demand, making our lower inventory levels seem even lower.
Our local market has definitely switched from a buyers market to a sellers market.  Still I recommend that sellers take their time in prepping their Boulder County homes (and surrounding community homes) and getting them ready … (1 comments)

According to DSNews, home affordability has reached the highest level EVER, since records started being kept in 1970.  In other words, housing affordability is at the highest level it has ever been over the last 42 years!
What is the Home Affordability Index anyway?  The home affordability index is the relationship between the median family income, median home price and the average mortgage rate.
This is the first time since records started being kept that the housing affordability index has exceeded the two hundred mark.
What does that mean exactly?  It … (0 comments)

Louisville, A Community for Kids
Louisville is not only a town, it is a "community".  A community that is all about families and kids and reaching out to interact and help each other.
I absolutely love a story I just read in the local paper which highlighted a special project which is being spear headed by a mom of three, Amanda Hassenstab.  She came up with a great idea of a "Community Sample Day."  It is such a great idea, and one that can only come together and actually happen in a a place like Louisville which is a Community for … (2 comments)

Boulder County Real Estate - Who is Number 1?

Money Magazine has voted Louisville, Co as the number one best place to live in the country!  This isn't the first time Louisville has received this designation from Money Magazine.
To residents of Louisville, this repeat of the designation doesn't come as any surprise.  There is just something special about Downtown Louisville beyond all of the sunshine and its proximity to Boulder and Denver.  There is a real seance of community in Louisville, which is absent from its surrounding communities.  People love to live in Louisville, but they also love doing … (7 comments)

Lot's of buyers were out this weekend shopping the available homes for sale and were consumed with not only deciding which home to purchase but.... trying to understand the various types of financing available and which would make the most sense for them.
